Question by Smurfett: Are there any short, funny science fiction/high fantasy stories being written these days?
“Short” as in one book only. I am tired of venturing through three book novels, and want to read something light and funny, and not Star Trek. I have read entirely enough of Star Trek: there has got to be other books out there that are worth a read. Or has the printing landscape changed so much that short, funny stories are only found in magazines? I hope not!

I feel you. I would say anything by James Patterson, but most of his books are series. Also Anthony Horowitz.

Here are the only ones that came to my mind now:

Firespell: A Novel of Dark Elite (though I think they made a sequel? idk for sure. but dnt worry, it dont leave u hanging)
Enchanted Ivy

This book is in a series but plzz its AMAZING and funny, no sci-fi or fantasy, but lotsa action.
